The Gators closed out the home portion of their regular-season schedule by getting swept in a three-game series against Surry Community College.
On April 22, the teams were supposed to play two games, but could get in only one (a 7-2 loss) because of the rain. The following day, the Gators lost both games of a doubleheader (the second one being the makeup game from the day before), dropping the first game 10-6 and the second one 12-2.
The Gators do play at War Memorial Stadium on April 27, but are the visitors in a nine-inning game against the Apprentice School.
This week, the Gators play:
April 27: at Apprentice, War Memorial Stadium, 6 p.m. (9 innings)
April 29: at Caldwell Community College, Hudson, NC, 1 p.m. (DH)
April 30: at Caldwell Community College, Hudson, N.C., 11 a.m. (9 innings)
Note: The Region X tournament is May 4-7 in Martinsville. The Region X District tournament is May 19-20 at sites to be determined, and the NJCAA World series is May 27-31 in Greenville, Tenn.
